OUR RECENT PROJECTS

FOURTEENTH STREET AND CORWA AVENUE - MILDURA RURAL CITY COUNCIL

The Intersection Upgrade at Fourteenth Street and Cowra Avenue consisted of the intersection upgrade to enhance safety for all traffic and pedestrians which consisted of the construction of a roundabout, the installation of drainage systems (side entry pits, junction pits, and pipes), new kerb and channel, a splitter island, and new pavement.

BURONGA LANDFILL EXPANSION - WENTWORTH SHIRE COUNCIL

The Buronga Landfill has been in operation since 1934 with the first lined cell constructed in 2017. This landfill is expected to eventually replace the Mildura Landfill as the primary waste disposal for the Sunraysia region when the Mildura Landfill is converted to a transfer station. This projects purpose was to upgrade the existing facilities to better cater for the predicted surge in public usage of the facility. Upgrades include the construction of a new lined cell, sealed internal roads, upgraded staff amenities and new recycling sheds. This is a major project, with construction works and project management of employees and subcontractors.

NINTH STREET & ORANGE AVENUE - MILDURA RURAL CITY COUNCIL

The Road Reconstruction of Ninth Street and Orange Avenue, Mildura involved the construction of a new roundabout, the reconstruction of kerbs and channels and the installation of side entry pits, junction pits, subsoil drainage and stormwater drainage pipes. This project also included the construction of new footpaths and pram ramps to enhance safety and accessibility for pedestrians.

EIGHTH STREET & RIVERSIDE AVENUE - MILDURA RURAL CITY COUNCIL

The reconstruction of eighth street and riverside avenue included the widening and construction of new road pavement, which included the reconstruction of the existing kerb and channel as well as modifications of the drainage infrastructure. To ensure the safety of the pedestrians, there was a reconstruction and modification of the footpath, shared path and construction of new bike lanes. The traffic priority of travel has now been changed and Eighth Street will have the priority through the intersection.

ADAMS STREET - MILDURA RURAL CITY COUNCIL

The Road Reconstruction of Adams Street consisted of the demolition of existing kerb and channel and the reconstruction of the existing road pavement, kerb and channel. The construction of new pits and pipes along Adams Street, with modifications to the existing drainage infrastructure and assets to suit the new road surface,.  Waters Excavations utilised their Waters Industrial Recycling Facility’s Recycled Fine Concrete Sand, Class 3 Recycled Concrete as well as taking all the waste clean fill, asphalt and concrete to the facility to recycle. Adam Street was the first project where Mildura Rural City Council trialled a new pipe made from recycled plastics.

HORSESHOE BEND BOAT RAMP - PARKS VICTORIA

The Horseshoe Bend Boat Ramp project involved the reconstruction of a new boat ramp to replace the existing structure, which had deteriorated beyond use. A coffer dam was installed to isolate the work area from the water, allowing for the safe demolition of the old ramp, excavation and preparation of the site, and placement of the new concrete ramp.

DAM CONSTRUCTION - MILDURA CITRUS FARMS

This Project consisted of the excavation of a 100-megalitre dam for Mildura Citrus Farms. This dam is designed to support all their irrigation needs and supports the ongoing success of Mildura’s citrus industry.

SUNRAYISA WATER EFFICIENCY PROJECT - (SWEP)

The Sunraysia Water Efficiency Project (SWEP) was a program which aimed to create a more efficient and modern water delivery network across the Mildura, Red Cliffs and Merbein Irrigation Districts. The project for Package 7 included replacing channel sections with pipeline, rationalising redundant meter outlets and installing flowmeters on stock and domestic services. The project also included demolition and decommissioning two Morris Regulators and installing new buried pipelines, primarily comprising of dual 1200Ø – 1000Ø HDPE, two blade meters and a series of supply connections.
